Welcome

Welcome to Buttercross Veterinary Centre in Bingham and Radcliffe.

Our main surgery is on Long Acre in Bingham with pedestrian access from the Newgate Street and Union Street public car parks.

We also have a Surgery in Radcliffe On Trent which moved to new premises on the 3rd of January 2012. This Surgery is now fully functioning and has an operating room, xray machine and separate cat and dog kennel rooms.

The Bingham surgery has been at its current location since June 1994. Before that, the surgery was located on Kirkhill, near the level crossing, where the practice can trace its roots back to the 1960's.

In 2009, our Bingham Surgery achieved RCVS accreditation under the Practice Standards Scheme and our newly relocated Radcliffe Surgery achieved the same accreditation in May 2012.  Following this link will give you more information about accreditation:      http://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/accredited-practices/about-the-practice-standards-scheme/

The practice has the following Vets;

Richard Beadle BVetMed MRCVS qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1986 and came to Bingham the same year. Became a partner in 1989, and took over full ownership of the practice in 2008 when Dane Atkin retired as a partner.

Dane Atkin BVetMed MRCVS qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1973. He joined the practice in the late 1970's and was a partner for many years. In 2008 he retired from the partnership, but continues to work part-time.

Rosemary L Watson BVSc MRCVS qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1981. Joined the practice in 1996 and works part-time.

Michael Berman MVDr MRCVS qualified in Slovakia in 2003. Joined us in 2009 and has now left Buttercross to go and run the Candleby Veterinary Centre in Cotgrave which he jointly owns with Richard Beadle.

We also have three Veterinary Nurses;

Lesley Stretton-Downes RVN who joined the practice in 1998.

Sarah Lightfoot RVN who joined the practice in 2007.

Emily Dixon RVN who joined us when we opened our new Radcliffe Surgery in January 2012.

We have four receptionists in Bingham: Sue, Sarah, Kathryn and Judith, and four in Radcliffe: Isobel, Heather, Sue and Kerri.

Our Secretary is Carol Marshall.
